Investment in West Africa – 60 million european loan

The European Investment Bank, the European Union’s long-term lending institution, has formally agreed to provide a EUR 60 million loan to enhance public and private sector operations by the West African Development Bank (BOAD).

It also assists existing manufacturing enterprises to sort out any administrative matters they may be confronted with. BEDIA is an autonomous organisation with its own Board of Directors, comprising mostly private sector representatives, including the Chairman. Government is represented on the Board by two officials from the Ministries of Trade and Industry, and Finance and Development Planning.
